Clifford G. (Bud) Pursey, age 85 of Carolina Shores went to be with the Lord on Saturday June 25, 2011.
Clifford was born on June 27, 1925 in Syracuse,NY son of the late Adolphus Pursey and Lillian Best Pursey.
Clifford served his country in the United States Coast Guard during WWII. He recently attended Honor Flight 4 Wilmington. He retired as sales manager at Kelley Brother's Industrial Hardware after 35 years in 1995. He was a member of Seaside United Methodist Church in Sunset Beach. Clifford was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy, President of Marcellus Fire Department, President of New York State Industrial Hardware Association, over 60 year member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge 524, Past President of Marcellus Optimist, On the board of trustee Marcellus Methodist Church, Board member Tuscarora Golf Club, Past President of Rockwell PTA and Member of Nedrow Fire department for 29 years.
Including his parents, Clifford is preceded in death by two brothers; Metford and Bertram and three sisters; Ruth, Evelyn and Helen.
Clifford is survived by his wife of 64years, Betty Pursey of the home, Daughters, Debra Cole of Carolina Shores, NC and Kim Anderson and her husband, Eric of Canandaigua, NY; Grandchildren: Andrew Cole, Rachele and Jessica Anderson. Many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
